Once or twice a year, the PLAIT "Chappy" Series publishes innovative tiny works, 3-10 pages, of poetry (including vispo and/or concrete poetry), fiction, drawing, illustration, music and photography, as well as the odd silent book™, where combinations are most welcome. They are called "chappies" because I do not agree with the prevailing term, chaplet which is already in use. A silent book™ is a story played out in drawings, illustration, collage, photography, or any combination, but no words.
I began the series to promote work by myself and my friends. Not to mention the dissemination of good will. Sometimes three pages is enough.
I actively seek these such tiny works. The books will be sold, and, when appropriate, will go out as a supplement to LDP, an occasional journal of aesthetics & language.
Like LDP, PLAIT "Chappy" Series is a division of Light Density Press.
